Kuragehime: Eiyuu Retsuden☆

This shows supporting characters acting with out Tsukimi or Kuranosuke. The jokes are average, except the 4 episode. The cat and the car had me dead. I suggest watching episodes 1-3 after episode 2 or 3 and Episode 4 after Shuu is introduced in the main series. It doesn't give spoilers.
It does give more characterization to the sisterhood. This can obviously be watched after completing the series. But because it doesn't contribute to the story in anyway, it won't help fill the void of finishing the series.
Even without a plot, it is still a fun watch. There are good jokes and they are ... only 5 minutes long. It is definite worth to watch if you love a certain character and want to see more of them. Shuu, they didn't give you enough screen time! Cries in lack of second season.
Clearly this is for those who have watched or are watching the main kuragehime series.

When I saw that there was something extra to watch in the Princess Jellyfish (Kuregehime) series I was pretty excited to see what there was. I'll admit, I was a bit disappointed. This series of shorts are pretty much about the secondary characters (the sisterhood minus Tsukimi, Shu, and Hanomori) with Tsukimi only being mentioned, and Kurenosuke not being seen at all. This wouldn't be a complete deal breaker but all the shorts seem a bit mundane, lacking much of anything exciting happening. Since I love the show so much I can't be too mad but I wish it was a bit more engaging.

This was thoroughly enjoyable! To watch this, you'll want to have seen Kuragehime first, as it's just side story that wouldn't make sense without knowing the characters first. We don't see Tsukimi or Kurenosuke at all, it's just the side characters. Seeing how they didn't really get their moments in the main series, I like that they have short episodes here.

Some characters got their own episodes, others shared episodes. It was pretty strange to me, especially considering how much screen-time Mayaya got, as she's by far the most annoying of the bunch. After her episode I thought they'd all be ... like that, one for each character. But nope, they had some characters share the spotlight unevenly.

There was no plot or anything, just humor, but the humor wasn't fantastic. Sometimes they hit, most times they didn't. If you liked the side characters and want to see more from them this would be good for you to watch. If you don't really care about them, you can skip it. It was really just okay, pretty average, and it's short enough to not regret watching it.
