| Well, that's certainly one way to know Suzume through ice-cream, at least it is for high schooler Sora Endo having bought choco mint ice-cream that piqued her interest. Apart from experiencing a modern day apocalypse, Suzume can be rather innocent, until Komatsu finds her on the side, and recommends her some tian-cha to soothe her mentals. At least it's not some escargot snail feeling... Suzume with a lost kid in the playground, and some bolo for children's snacks, it's only natural that she would want to try, even if it's at the offering of the lost girl. Crunchy and nice, is what it is. Another type of mochi introduced by her grandmother, Shingen mochi can be enjoyed in various ways to enhance the flavour. To round of the episode, the bakery's pastries calling for Suzume, though it's the melonpan that provide the chewy bite...and the interests of some kids who are watching her consume with glee. Experiencing one new dish at a time, that's adding up to the food diaries. |

Choko minto yori mo aο½₯naο½₯taβ‘ There are many Glico Seventeen Ice's flavors for her to pick, and Suzume picked the choco minto. π Well, those Glico ice creams are good, I can confirm that. btw, the usual, normal, traditional, melonpan does not contain any actual melon as an ingredient. It's just that the texture resembles a melon. @LaczPro19 Melonpan. A pan that kinda looks like a melon. Does it actually taste like one? The traditional melonpan does not have any melon in it. However, there are newer variations/recipes in which some bakers or manufacturers added melon-flavoured or melon cream/custard filling into the bread. The one that Suzume ate didn't have any melon, though. |

| Not really too surprising all these people look at Suzume as if she’s a mythical creature I think anywhere would look at a Maid curiously. But this episode was good it’s certainly keeping up the good theme nicely as she explores more of Japan. |

| This anime is really cute and a good show to watch when eating. Is she going to stay in the maid outfit forever? Like, she has to have something else to wear, right? I get she’s a maid but she’s on vacation now so relax girl. lol |
| Im gonna rant a bit. Mint chocolate is utter dogshit. It's a disrepect to the cacao. Who the fuck thought that refreshing mint is a good pairing with sweet/bitter chocolate and gaslighted the whole industry? Mint chocolate only exist in countries which does not have domestic quality chocolate manufacturing because they have lost their way. I do not respect opinions of anyone who would spend a cent on mint chocolate products. But I'll give a pass to Suzume bc shes very cute |

| Every time I watch an anime about food, I'm amazed by the variety in Japanese cuisine. Sadly, I haven't had the chance to try much of it but I have tried melon pan and it's delicious. (The matcha version filled with red bean paste is also great!) I like this anime. I already want to watch the next episode. |

| The cuteness is off the charts. The boy is just as cute as she is. Well his clothes are unimpressive. That ice cream thing does look a bit enticing. But... he must not be very shy because I can't imagine walking by someone staring while holding it up like that. Japanese people seem more modest and would sit down somewhere facing away from the road to eat it. As would I. But they had to force the encounter... This show has taught me a lot about Japanese snack food... it seems to all come in plastic bags, single serving size. A lot of factory-made, packaged food. Exactly like 'Murica and the UK just with different writing (and British cookie packages are even more colorful) ***That store actually had PIGS IN A BLANKET!!!! |
