| Didn't expect that stinger ending at all, but in retrospect, Satoshi using Yuka's slip made it bound to happen. Obviously the trauma of that has left Naomi in a despondent state as a result as well. Very much enjoyed this, mainly for the viscerality, but also from how tense the situation was. Series were no one has any sort of plot armour are always a delight, and this one delivered in that respect. Of course, the main flaw was that the characters didn't always make the most intelligent decisions, even when they were in a relatively sound state of mind. Satoshi in particular seemed to frequently make boneheaded decisions that ended up screwing other people (and even himself) over, even when he was presented as one of the more rational students. Still, this was by no means a deal-breaker; the core appeal of the series was the violent scenario, and it was more than adequate. |
