| speaking of syringes. was i the only one that was surprised the first time i saw rika, princess of moe and most innocent looking character of higurashi whip out the syringe to attack? i gotta say, didnt see that coming at all. then again, i didnt see the suicide with the knife thing coming either. |
| Yeah, you wouldn't think Queen Nii-pah had it in her. Especially since you don't see much of the rest of her personality until the second season anyways. The knife was... well I was confused throughout pretty much the entirety of Watanagashi-hen. You really can't do much more than laugh like Shion and roll the dice again. *Oh no! Not double 3's, I don't want my intestines ripped out!* |

| I get the feeling that syringe had the antidote in it. Knowing what Rika knew at the time, I seriously doubt she would have actually helped fate to murder her friends. Then again, one has to wonder. With all those repeated cycles she went through, what might she have done, during those times where the hopelessness really set in? Ever see Groundhog Day? That kind of thing, but with a Higurashi twist. Like a random killing spree just so she could feel she had at least some level of control--through murdering her friends before fate got the chance to. |

I wonder what would happen if your blood type was incompatible with Rika's. I'm still trying to decide whether Rika looks scarier with the syringe or with the ritual scythe. | And yet, despite the last storyarc, which pretty much absolved everybody of their crimes, both the Houjou children are still murderers. I think that calls for a new storyarc :D |

| Hanyuu, yes....Mion never killed anybody either, that I recall. Nor did she even succumb to the disease. Strong girl! My assumption is perhaps because she never left Hinamizawa, even for a short time. (Satoko was taken away from town by her parents for awhile, wasn't she?) Irie performed a dissection under duress, but I suppose that's still killing. Heh, if you don't count the background we don't know about, Kasai didn't kill anybody, either ^.^ ....or Akasaka. Or Ooishi, for that matter. They weren't residents of Hinamizawa, though. How's Keiichi still a murderer? I'm talking about only the people whose crimes only occured in a 'past' June, and therefore technically didn't happen during the last storyarc. Keiichi tortured some toddlers with an air rifle, but I was under the impression that he never actually killed any of them--just injuries, putting eyes out, and such. That's just me inferring, though. The Houjou's performed their murders before June, so regardless of how the story ended, they're still murderers. Takano included, yeah. |

| There's a difference between mutilating a dead corpse and mutilating a living corpse. One is impossible :P You think too highly of Mion. She killed the third Sonozaki sister when she was a kid. Or maybe that was Shion pretending to be Mion O.O Rika killed... herself, but she never succumbed to the disease. It would be pretty bad if she did. I thought Keiichi had went trigger-happy and killed people before moving to Hinamizawa. His targets had been primarily girls too >.> Or maybe my Level 5 is causing me to hallucinate as much as I itch. In retrospect, Rena mentioned both "serial shootings" and "model gun" so it's hard to say whether he was a killer. He's probably not, otherwise I don't think even his father could bribe off the crime. Tomitake may also have been a murderer, considering his actual profession. You know, in the case of outsiders like Keiichi and the dam construction workers, they may not have suffered from Level 5 since they weren't inhabitants. Rather, past habits and events may have made them more susceptible to such 'disturbances'. |

If I got that helpless a feeling and I figured I was just going to end up dead in a few days and then come back like nothing happened, well....why the hell not? I agree with the Keiichi determination, too--that was the primary reason I figured he didn't actually kill anybody with that gun. | ok, im joining the RP. Illya will be entering hinamizawa with her two maid guardians. Ill be playing as the friend of her family's. the maids will see her off from the bus before reboarding and then vanishing forever. as of that point im not sure. if asked she was sent to hinimizawa to avoid her father(who is irate for her losing the grail war.). in short, he wants to kill her, and so shes laying low. |
