This manga is a gem inside the filth that is isekai genre. The manga follows "Nomad" a normal guy from Japan who dies and reincarnates into this new world, but Nomad can some karate. What I love about this story is the fact that it is not sun shine and rainbows, there are actual consequences to the actions one takes and often times, these consequences are heavy.
The world is your typical fantasy world with goblins and dragons, but what makes it unique is the amount of realism it holds. The author is intelligent enough to know that in a world where death is always
...
at your door step, those with meagre determination and survival instincts are dead. And the manga shows that, most of the enemies of this manga aren't monsters, they are humans. Fellow adventurers that tap into their darkest part of existence for a chance at survival in this unforgiving world. The world vaguely reminds me of Berserk, it is not as bleak as Berserk, but one can easily see the similarities and the inspiration.
The most the unique about this manga is the MC himself, Nomad is not your typical isekai protagonist, he is a human, he loves, hates, feels guilt, but also knows that when his life is in danger, he has to act. This story is not a story about a man restarting in a new world and becoming the strongest, no, this is a story about a man changing and adapting to his new environment so that he would survive.
All in all, this is a manga I recommend to anyone tired of the rinse and repeat isekai genre, this is a breath of fresh air.
