Synopsis

Zig—a tall, broad-shouldered mercenary—participates in a witch hunt. Following a fierce duel with the deadly witch, he becomes privy to her desire. This story feels a bit rough at times, and there are elements that could have used a bit more finesse, but I do think its heart is in the right place.

So the basic premise is divided into half.

The first half, the action part, can be described as "tfw a pair from a Low Fantasy story (Game of Thrones? Berserk?) are thrown into Fantasy JRPGland #2490203920". This is an unique idea, and the execution is done with more depth and nuance than most generic fantasy stories out there. But... I do think this part is still a bit rough.

this manga is that one type of isekai where the protagonist is op as shit despite some handicap (in this case no magic) and wins every fight basically without trying, except here the author actually puts thought into the fight choreography and the protagonist's battle strategies. basically aura farming done right

would honestly be like a 8-9/10 for entertainment value if the worldbuilding was as good as its fight choreography but its unfortunately very shallow and lazy. nothing about the world makes any sense, the continent they travel to may as well be a different world with demi humans and magic and magical creatures and teleportation ...

This is an oddball, on one hand i think this is absolutely good, but on the other, this leaves much to be desired.

The premise is new and simple, enough to establish a fresh start. Yet how they handle the world surrounding our protagonists is pretty bad.
They ran to another continent which is seemingly "unknown", yet it's a magical continent with, erm, people that use the same currency, talks the same language, due to the fact that our protags understands what they say and have no qualms spending their money.
