Both are themed around the rakugo performances with likeable characters. Joshiraku is a full on comedy anime though

Anime centered around the traditional Japanese performing art of Rakugo. The characters are rakugo performers and we see their lives both on stage and outside of the theater. However, SGRS is much more dramatic and serious while Joshiraku is more laid back and comedic.
